Pair programming nonsense should be removed. It is not nice to impose yourself on other people unless absolutely necessary. Moreover, it's what Copilot is for now.

Definitely pair programming should not be forced on everyone, but I've observed in multiple teams that for people who like it, really find it useful and helpful. Copilot is not the same as talking to a real human yet, though it's getting close. Being able to discuss topics with your colleagues, along with the non-work part of discussions, are very important for personal growth.
